Finkbeiner Road Project

August 25, 2010

The Finkbeiner Project is moving along on schedule.  Currently there are 3 bridge crews onsite working on both bridges and their abutments.  The M-37 intersection is now open and residents may enter from M-37, but the preferred method of entry remains to be Cherry Valley.   The road crew has been working west of M-37 moving toward the Bender Road intersection.   To look at some pictures of the site click on the Finkbeiner Tab.

The Bender Road intersection at Finkbeiner will be closed for extended periods of time through out the next two weeks for storm sewer installation.  The intersection will be open at night, but please seek alternate routes during the day.

The Finkbeiner Road Project is currently underway and moving along smoothly.   Finkbeiner Road at M-37 will be closed for a little while longer, so please use Cherry Vally Road to access Finkbeiner until further notice.  Road Work is currently taking place at the intersection of M-37 & Finkbeiner and west to Bender Road.  The Bridge at Spring Creek is currently being constructed and then the contractor will move to the Bridge over the Thornapple River.  We know that this is an exciting project for the Community and for the Road Commission but do to OSHA and MIOSHA safety requirements (safety vests, steel toe boots, hardhats, etc.) we cannot have unauthorized personnel entering the construction site.  Please be courteous.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the BCRC at (269) 945-3449 or by email.
