The regular meeting of the Barry County Road Commission was called to order at 9:00 A.M. by Chairman Willcutt.

Members present: Willcutt, Pashby, Dykstra, and Managing Director Brad Lamberg.

The agenda for April 8, 2003 was approved as presented.

The minutes of March 25, 2003 was accepted as read by the Secretary.

Motion by Chairman Willcutt seconded by Commissioner Dkystra to approve the payroll for payment.

Motion by Chairman Willcutt seconded by Commissioner Pashby to accept Orangeville Township resolution.

Motion by Stanton, support by Harper:

I move to approve the Barry County Road Commission proposal on road spraying as presented in March 26, 2003 quote, using 26% chloride solution and 2 applications thru the season at a cost of $10, 762.

All yes vote followed.

Brown Woodland to Martin seal $17,300

Brown Cunningham to Martin seal $ 8,400

Barnum Velte to M-66 seal $ 8,500

Maple Brown to Beech seal $ 5,000

Beech N of Brown seal $ 5,000

Ottland NW Side of Jordan Lake seal $ 5,500

Velte M-50 to County Line seal $ 1,200

Lakewood Dr. Brodbeck Acres seal $ 3,000

Coats Grove Durkee to Woodland seal $14,700

Managing Director Brad Lamberg updated the Board on his report to the County Commissioners. Chairman Willcutt and Brad Lamberg will talk with Michael Brown.

Commissioner Pashby will attend the Cass County Road Commission Annual Safety & Retirement Dinner on April 16, 2003.

Discussion of the 2003 ARTBA/TEA 21, Fly-In, April 28-30, 2003.

Mike & Susan Bird along with Bob Bird met with the Board regarding Seasonal Maintenance of Parmalee Road. Brad Lamberg is to meet with the Bird’s Thursday April 11, 2003.

Bob Slocum submitted a proposal to the Board for Health Care Benefits on behalf of the existing Supervisors at the time Retirement.

New Business

Discussion of Crane Work in Chaffee’s Pit in regard to Davis Construction, Board agreed that they are not happy with the Service we have received. Agreed to find someone else to move crane in and begin working. Suggested to use Daryl Brodbeck to work with his personal crane on Barry County Road Commission time.
